The process flow of alkaline galvanizing mainly includes the following steps.
Author: Robby
1.Pre-treatment: this step includes degreasing and pickling, the purpose is to remove the oil and rust on the surface of the workpiece to ensure the quality of the coating.
2.Upper Hanging Fixture: The treated workpiece is hung in the plating tank for the next step of the plating process.
3.Activation Pickling: Further treatment of the workpiece to ensure that the surface of the workpiece is suitable for galvanizing.
4.Rinse: Cleans the workpieces to remove residues from the activated pickling process.
5.Galvanizing: Depositing zinc onto the surface of the workpiece at a specific temperature and current density.
6.Water rinsing: the workpiece is washed again to remove the residues generated by the galvanizing process.
7.Nitric Acid Brightening: The workpiece is brightened with nitric acid to improve the appearance and quality of the coating.
8.Passivation: Passivation through Cr3+ passivation for environmentally friendly passivation treatment to enhance the corrosion resistance of the plated layer.
9.Sealing: Newly added sealing process, using high quality sealer to further protect the plated layer.
10.Blow-drying (drying): Finally, the workpiece is blown dry or dried to complete the whole alkaline galvanizing process.
This process ensures that the surface of the workpiece is able to obtain a uniform, dense zinc coating, which enhances the corrosion resistance and aesthetics of the workpiece.
