Notably, barrels can be used as an alternative to anchor blocks for momo-strand stressed tendons, providing a versatile solution.
Wedges: Engineered from high-strength steel, wedges are tapered components featuring internal serrations that deliver exceptional gripping power. Their primary function is to firmly hold prestressing strands during and after tensioning. By strategically positioning three parts of the wedges around the strand and drawing them into conical recesses within the anchorage during jack retraction, a secure and reliable grip is achieved.
