The low pressure alarm failure of industrial chiller compressor is a common problem in the use of industrial chiller. How to accurately and quickly determine the cause of the low pressure of the chiller, and how to solve it after the low pressure fault is diagnosed?
The industrial chiller system operates through three interrelated systems: refrigerant circulation system, water circulation system, and electrical automatic control system. The refrigerant absorbs the heat of the object to be cooled in the evaporator and evaporates into vapor. The compressor continuously extracts and compresses the steam produced from the evaporator. The compressed high-temperature and high-pressure steam is sent to the condenser and then dissipates heat to the cooling medium. It is condensed into high-pressure liquid, which enters the evaporator after being decompressed by the throttling mechanism, evaporates again and absorbs the heat of the object to be cooled, thereby circulating.
The low-pressure failure of the chiller means that the intake pressure of the compressor is too low, causing the low-pressure protection relay to work. The normal suction pressure of the compressor of the room temperature chiller should be 0.3~0.45 Mpa, and the protection value should be 0.2 Mpa.
The common cause of low-pressure alarms for industrial chillers is refrigerant leakage. However, if the leakage point is located where the water tank or evaporator is in contact with water, it may cause water to flow into the refrigeration and compression system, resulting in damage to the compressor. Therefore, when we find that the unit has a low-voltage fault alarm, we must determine the cause of the fault and deal with it as soon as possible.
Analysis and elimination of low-pressure faults of industrial chillers:
1.The refrigeration system leaks.
When the control temperature of the normal temperature chiller is higher than 5 degrees and the low pressure gauge shows lower than 2 Bar, it means that the refrigerant is insufficient. Please check immediately for leaks in the refrigeration system piping. If it is found that the refrigerant leakage point will come into contact with water, please stop the unit immediately, drain the water, and notify the maintenance personnel to deal with it, so as to prevent the compressor from sucking water into the refrigeration system and causing more serious damage.
2.The refrigerant charge in the refrigeration system of the chiller is insufficient.
You can ask the refrigeration maintenance personnel to add the corresponding refrigerant.
3.The filter is clogged.
Remove and clean or replace the filter.
4.The expansion valve opening is too small
Appropriately reduce the opening of the expansion valve, and automatically reset the high and low pressure protection after elimination.
5. False alarm caused by electrical failure.
Please check the control circuit and the corresponding electrical components to see if there is a false alarm caused by the humidity short circuit of the low-voltage protection relay, humidity or damage to the unit electronic board and communication failure.
6. The temperature of the evaporator inlet water is too low or the amount of water passing through the evaporator is insufficient.
Increase the set temperature value or increase the water flow.
