This Wednesday, our company planted 104 types of zucchini to observe their growth status and characteristics. Planting zucchini in spring requires certain preparation work and method skills, as well as some areas that need attention. Some zucchini have low yields or some diseases after planting, partly due to inadequate preparation work.
1. Land consolidation
When planting zucchini, a location with a leeward and sunny side and convenient drainage should be selected as the garden area. Timely cleaning work should be carried out, and the soil should be plowed to remove large chunks. Mature fertilizers should be applied to keep the soil loose and fertile.
2. Choose a good variety
There are many types of zucchini, so it is necessary to choose excellent varieties based on the local situation. Soak the seeds in water at around 55 degrees Celsius and continuously stir them. When the water temperature drops to 30 degrees Celsius, remove and wash them, and then soak them in water for 5-6 hours to fully absorb water.
3. Sowing into the soil
Cultivate zucchini in a deep furrow and high furrow with plastic film covering. Generally, the furrow width is 100 centimeters, the furrow height is 20 centimeters, and the furrow width is 25-30 centimeters. Then, sow seeds in a straight furrow, paying attention to maintaining a certain gap between each seed and finally covering it with soil.
4. Field management
After planting zucchini, it is advisable to water it thoroughly with clean river water, and then cover it with a plastic film to maintain heat and moisture. After the zucchini is produced, the film should be promptly removed to ensure good ventilation and breathability.
