The common types of concrete include:

Normal Strength Concrete:

This is the most common type of concrete used in construction projects and is primarily used in construction projects that do not require particularly high strength requirements, such as road paving, residential construction, and commercial construction projects.

Plain Concrete:

Plain concrete has absolutely no steel reinforcement in its structure and is primarily used in structures that do not require strong tensile strength, such as sidewalks.

Lightweight Concrete:

This type of concrete has a lower density and higher water content and is primarily used to reduce the total "dead weight" of a building to help prevent collapse in areas such as walls or floors.

Ready-Mix Concrete:

After being made at a manufacturing plant, ready-mix concrete is delivered to the construction site using trucks equipped with mixers and typically contains admixtures so that the cement does not harden before it arrives on site and is ready for pouring.

The common types of concrete

Polymer Concrete:

Polymer concrete uses a curable and hardening polymer binder in place of lime and shale-based Portland cement and is designed to increase the tensile strength of the concrete.

Glass Concrete:

When recycled glass is added as an aggregate or used in place of fine and coarse aggregate, the concrete is called glass concrete and typically has a shiny or "glowing" appearance, making it a beautiful and highly polished option for countertops, flooring, and tile.

These concrete types demonstrate the versatility of concrete and its wide range of applications in the construction field.
